Due to their handcrafted nature, organic dyes and materials, each rug will be slightly unique. New handcrafted rugs will typically shed loose fibers. This is normal and will diminish with regular vacuuming, usually in 3 to 6 months. Vacuum regularly in one direction (not back and forth) using suction only, no bristles or beater bar. Rug pad is recommended. Spot clean only with a dry cloth, consult a professional for more persistent stains. Loose threads should be trimmed with scissors.
